Types of Permanent Makeup
Ready to dive in and get permanent makeup? Check out the different options!
Are you tired of waking up hours before your shift so you can make your makeup flawless? Do you spend most of your salary on lipsticks, liners, contour kits, etc.? Permanent makeup can eliminate both issues.
The good news is that you don't have to go for a complete look. Just target the area that takes the most time, effort, and money.
Types of Permanent Makeup You Can Consider
You don't need to go all out. If you are on a budget or need touch-ups on certain areas on your face only, consider these:
Lip Blushing for a Permanent Pout
Lip blushing can give you a semi-permanent pout that requires zero touch-ups as you work or go about your day. The pigment is applied to your lips for a soft effect. You may need multiple sessions to get the look you need.
While it can take a while, the result is worth it. Lip blush is striking if it is done well. The artist will use a pigment that matches your skin tone so you can rock your natural look.
Aftercare Instructions
You can get your money's worth by following aftercare instructions for this type of permanent makeup. Here are some tips you should follow:
· Four hours after the treatment, remove lymph from your lips by dabbing them lightly with a paper towel. Apply the recommended ointment to keep them moist and supple as they heal.
· Avoid contact with the treated lips. So no kissing or friction.
· Avoid oil and spicy food and drink with a straw.
· Rinse and clean lips gently after every meal and pat dry before applying ointment.
Permanent Eyeliner for the Perfect Winged Eyelid
Getting the perfect winged brow can take hours of frustration. It is little wonder why most people go for permanent eyeliners. Besides saving time, it adds the perfect flair to your daily looks. Permanent eyeliner is quite versatile. You can go for a bold, elaborate, dramatic look or a simple one.
The procedure will make your eyes look bigger and brighter. The ink doesn't smudge and will enhance your eyelashes as well.
The method is simple. The artist applies droplets of pigment into the skin using a special pen similar to what a tattoo artist may use.
Aftercare Instructions
A permanent liner can get botched or cause an infection if you don't follow these aftercare instructions:
· Do not touch the treated area. It can increase the risk of infections.
· Apply Vaseline to the treated area twice a day using a Q-tip. Do this for a week post procedure to keep the site moist and to allow it to heal evenly. The pigment will fade about 30 to 50% in the first few weeks resulting in a natural liner.
· Do not scratch or rub your eyes.
· Use an ice pack to reduce swelling, if any. Make sure you apply it over a power towel placed on the treated area.
· Sleep with your head slightly elevated to allow the swelling to go down.
· Do not apply makeup to the treated area for the next seven days.
· Buy new mascara and makeup to prevent a bacterial infection.
· Do not use makeup remover or cream.
· Avoid hot pools, showers, and tubs for two weeks.
· Avoid contact lenses for the next 72 hours. After that, use a new pair if possible.
· Wash the treated eyes with tepid water gently. Do not use soap, cleansers, or a washcloth.
Get a Fuller Lash Line with Lash Enhancement
Make your lash line stand out with a lash enhancement. This thin line of permanent makeup sits on the root of your eyelashes, giving them a fuller look. The procedure involves the placement of small dots of pigment between every lash for a fuller and tighter appearance.
Don't worry; the line will not be completely visible when you close your eyes. While it may not stand out as much as manually lined lashes, it can replace the need for eyeliner. A lash enhancement touches up the base of your lashes where you may otherwise have to use eyeliner carefully. Think of the time and effort you will save!
The treatment can take at least two hours since the numbing cream will take some time to show results. Each procedure is completely customized as per client needs and features, resulting in a different look.
Lash enhancements are great for people who want luxurious, darker, and healthier-looking lashes. If you lost yours because of stress, or a medical or botched cosmetic procedure, this enhancement is perfect for you.
Aftercare Instructions
Eyelash enhancements can go wrong fast if you ignore the following aftercare treatments:
· Apply a cold compress over a paper towel on the treated area to reduce swelling.
· Do not get the area wet for at least 48 hours.
· Use new eye makeup around the area to prevent bacterial infections, and do not apply too close to the treated roots. Use a cleansing wipe to clean the makeup, and don't rub your eyes.
· Do not apply any ointment to the treated areas. Dry healing works best in this case. It should take no more than three to four days to heal fully.
Permanent makeup can save you hours in front of the mirror. Perfect makeup is the least of your worries when you are running late for work or an appointment. Never head out without looking your best again. But make sure you get the procedure done by knowledgeable and experienced professionals. An artist trained in applying permanent makeup should be considered.
